Amita Parashar is a News Writer living in Los Angeles, CA. She currently writes and produces articles and interactives for Channel One News Online.  Her news stories, which range from from conflict in Pakistan and Kenya to the 2008 presidential election, reach millions of young people around the country each month.

 

Prior to her position with Channel One, Amita worked as an Assignment Editor and Researcher on the NBC Network News Desk, covering breaking domestic and international stories. She has also contributed to ABCNews.com, “The Mail and Guardian” and "The Orange County Register."

 

Amita holds a B.A. in English Literature from Wellesley College.
